Foxy's Crafting Bot

July 27th, 2015 by Diana Coman

Day 13 was a very long day indeed. Not sure it's even over yet for that matter, but maybe in a few days...

Still, Crafting Bot is here. Version 1.0 with a messy structure still (due to problems with missing messages from the server and other unsavory aspects of the original PS client) and some still-to-be-resolved issues. If you want to give it a try, here's how it goes:

Download: the bundle.

Check its sha256sum: 6fd93088108658e622e452278da62d209f5ac82f8169ab2253175f423de6851b

Unpack the files, read the readme.txt provided in the bundle and follow the steps there.

Recompile Eulora client (incremental compile is fine if you are in a hurry, no need to recompile all from scratch really).

An alternative bundle is provided on Trilema too.

  1. feature requests for future versions:

keep a log of all things crafted; that is record all the data about all the items that go into and out of the process, and also about the equipment/containers used. Names of items, quality, quantities, rank in relevant skills at the time of crafting... etc..

Allow me to specify qualities in the /command so that it does not "stupidly" grab the first thing it finds in storage when inventory is empty.

Thanks Daniel. The logging part should be quite straightforward (assuming that the client's existing logging functions are sane enough to use) and I plan to add it as soon as I get some time to go back to this (most probably next week). The quality and options part sounds more involved really, since I think it actually requires a config window for the bot as otherwise it isn't really sane to start now giving commands of 1 page (or parsing that for that matter). Hence, maybe in a future release. Still, I can certainly provide options to disable/enable training and storage. So far, if you want total control over what it uses, just get everything with you in the inventory (it will take first whatever you have on you) and set camp somewhere far away from Heina (as the bot won't move you).
